Baldur's Gate announce incoming from Beamdog

The ex-BioWare staffers at Beamdog have resurrected the Baldur's Gate website ahead of an upcoming reveal.

BaldursGate.com has been updated with a new logo and theme song after years of dormancy; the last Baldur's Gate game released was the console title Dark Alliance II in 2004.

GameBanshee discovered the sudden refresh is the work of Beamdog, a company formed by one-time BioWare designer Trent Oster.

While Oster would not reveal what Beamdog has in the works, he did deny any connection to an upcoming release of Baldur's Gate II" Complete Edition.

"We're not related to the Steam complete edition, I can tell you that much. Other than that, we're hoping to announce something soon," he said.

Beamdog is behind the recently-released MDK2 HD, as well as an earlier WiiWare version of the classic BioWare action title, suggesting the company may have a Baldur's Gate port in the works.
