Pre-order Sniper Elite V2 and you get to kill Hitler
505 Games has announced a Sniper Elite V2 pre-order bonus which will allow you to kill Hitler, providing you pre-order from UK retailers prior to May 4.
The mission is single-player and includes two new weapons: the Soviet semi-automatic battle rifle SVT-40 and the standard German service rifle Kar 98.
Here’s the blurb:
“Intel has been received that Hitler is returning from Berchtesgaden to Berlin via his personal train. Players must intercept the train as it waits at the station and take down the Fuhrer as he hastily makes way for the station on foot.
“There is only a single opportunity for players to do what so many wish had been done – take out the leader of the Third Reich. One chance. One bullet. Make it count.”
Sniper Elite V2 is a third-person tactical shooter from Rebellion set in World War II which tasks the player with tracking down Nazi scientists.
The game releases in the UK on May 4 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Either way, preordering something like Sniper Elite V2 is a cry for help.

Since this game takes place in a World-War 2 era, wouldn’t killing Hitler be quite a large part of the game? It’s like “You’re tracking down nazi scientists! But if you pre-order now you get to kill Hitler too. But that wasn’t that important so we won’t include it in the normal game.” Sounds a little off. Also, the only thing that has my interest in this game is that interesting kill cam that really details your kill in all of it’s glory. But that probably won’t save a game I presume will be broken to some extent.
