DICE lending Frostbite to a Montreal EA studio

EA's generous sharing of the Frostbite engine continues with a mysterious project in Montreal.

DICE's Johan Andersson is on the way to visit EA studios which use the Frostbite engine. "First stop: Montreal," he said.

EA has at least two studios in Montreal - one arm of BioWare, and EA Montreal, which is expected to fall under the Visceral umbrella.

Neither studio has announced a project making use of the Frostbite engine. Possible candidates include a new Dragon Age game, or if EA Montreal is odd-jobbing for other teams, Medal of Honor: Warfighter or even Dead Space 3.

Frostbite is DICE's Battlefield engine, but it was also used for Need for Speed: The Run and the upcoming Command & Conquer: Generals 2.
