Ghost Recon: Future Soldier wants you to Believe in Ghosts

Ubisoft has released a new video for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier called “Believe in Ghosts.” In it, Richard Machowicz, a former Navy SEAL sniper and scout recounted how Future Soldiers use a “deadly edge” to gain an unfair advantage. Neat. The game will release in May on PS3 and Xbox 360, and a multiplayer beta is expected in April. A PC version will be released at a later date. Thanks, Gematsu.

This is looking so much better than what they shown a few weeks ago, that looked rather bad. This looks awesome.

That sort of thing just rubs me the wrong way.

If you’re going to do a realistic game, do a realistic game. Don’t make an action game and tack on a bunch of fake shit to make it look like it’s the real deal. I think they should be kept completely seperate.

It just doesn’t make a lot of sense, even down to the choice of operation to cover. They’re obviously going for something recent for PR purposes.

There are quite a few outstanding examples like Entebbe, Operation Barras and in Iraq they had the same teams running maybe 3 raids a night, just taxiing between sites.

If you’re gonna use that sort of thing as entertainment, it should be done with due care though.
