EA lays claim to seven titles on Apple's all-time best apps lists

Reminding us that EA has at least a tiny finger in the Angry Birds pie is news of the publisher's placement on a list of the most successful apps of all time.

EA's The Beat blog reports it has seven games on two lists of top 25 all-time paid and free apps for iPhone.

EA's claim is a little bit contentious, as it cites its acquisition of Chillingo to lay claim to Angry Birds, which appears multiple times on both charts, as well as Cut The Rope - but does not own either of these properties.

That said, the publisher still has plenty of wins, with Tetris, Scrabble, Monopoly and Plants vs. Zombies.

The lists were produced by Apple as part of its 25 billion Apps promotion, vary from territory to territory, and as new downloads are registered.
