The Tokyo Game Show 2012 website has gone live, starting the hype train ahead of the annual September event.
Organising body CESA hasn’t produced an English website yet, but Andriasang has translated some pertinent points.
This year’s slogan is “Through Games, Your Smiles Connect”; an official translation is forthcoming and has a 50/50 chance to be more or less baffling.
A couple of new areas have been added to the schedule. The full consumer line up is:

- PC Game Corner (new)
- Smartphone Game Corner / Social Game Corner (new)
- Game Device Corner
- Sales Corner
- Game School Corner
- Family Corner
And on the trade side:
- Asia Game Business Summit
- TGS Forum 2012 – includes keynotes
- Sense of Wonder Night 2012
- Asia Networking Party
The Tokyo Game Show runs from September 20 through 23 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba. CESA estimates 195,000 visitors this year and around 180 exhibitors.
