Thatgamecompany's next project to take online "a step further"

A job listing for the next game from thatgamecompany has seemingly confirmed online will play a part in it, adding it would go "a step further" than what it has with its latest effort Journey.

The listing, which is for a scalability engineer, says: "With our last game, Journey, we began incorporating online interactions into our projects, and we'd like to take it a step further on our next game."

The listing goes on to add it'd be looking to build "a full scale online service available to hundreds of thousands of users" that would include account management, data tracking, player matchmaking and automated testing."

TGC's newest game Journey includes online co-op, where you team up with a completely random player you've never met before to explore the world of the game.

Sony announced yesterday a worldwide March release for the game yesterday. Journey also signals the end of a three-game exclusivity deal with Sony.
