Journey confirmed for March 13 US, March 14 EU

Thatgamecompany’s confirmed it’ll launch Journey in the US on March 13 and in Europe the following day.

The game will kick off SCEA’s Spring Fever promotion.

In a US PS Blog post, co-founder Jenova Chen confirmed the date and a $14.99 pricetag.

The confirmation comes as Japan was the first to get a date and price earlier this week, launching on March 15 in the country.

“With each game we create, we want to bring something truly unique and authentic to the user. We want our players to experience something they have never felt before,” he said.

“Our first game for PSN was flOw in 2007, a meditative zen video game haiku. We followed that in 2009 with Flower, our video game version of a poem about the tension between urban bustle and natural serenity. Journey, our third game, is an interactive parable, an anonymous online adventure to experience a person’s life passage and their intersections with others.”

We’re highly looking forward to the full game, as you can see here and here.

Im going to be buying Journey, like I bought Flower and Flow. I have an interest, I do not however enjoy flowery pretentious codswallop masquerading as deep.

That sentence “a meditative zen video game haiku” makes no sense, no sense what so ever. Im not really being all that negative im just laughing at the fact that someone wrote that with a straight face.

Also I must apologise for not realising that comments sections were solely for positive reactions.

Personally I’d love to hear the guy who’s promoting this, to describe CoD…

“A visceral lyrical song, celebrating man’s attraction to brutality, whilst lamenting the futility of violence and the scars it can leave on the participants of such internecine conflict”

:-D
