Hayashi muses over a DoA vs Virutal Fighter crossover, new DoA 5 screens released

After previously stating he wasn't interested in a DoA vs Tekken style hybrid, Team Ninja studio head Yosuke Hayashi seems to have had a change of heart - well, as least with something other than Tekken.

Speaking with Edge, Hayashi said that in terms of "collaboration titles," staff members on his team "love fighting games" and of the opportunity to collaborate arose, "we'd actively, possibly do that."

However, Hayashi is quick to point out that the fighting game he respects the most, was the Virtua Fighter series. "Virtua Fighter was the father of 3D gaming, so it's very well respected," he said.

So, maybe a DoA vs VF is waiting someplace in our future. You never know.

Meanwhile, for the present, placate yourself with Dead of Alive 5 with a more high-class interpretation of women than previous outings.

DoA 5 is slated for PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year. Enjoy the new screenshots below.
