Mass Effect 3 Take Earth Back trailer teased
Here we go with the recursive promotional madness again; this is a teaser for an upcoming trailer promoting Mass Effect 3.
The 52 second video embedded below is a good 30% logos, but fear not – it presages a longer cinematic trailer due to premiere during the February 19 episode of The Walking Dead.
Mass Effect 3 launches on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March, and ends the story of Commander Shepard’s fight against the Reapers. The demo is out now.
Thanks, EvilAvatar.

Dead Island was the first to use children in their trailer, now EA not only used the same emotional method but also included a child in one of the in-game cutscenes and there might be more!

Pretty stupid claim. I remember one of the first World in Conflict trailers starting with a similar looking girl.

Most games don’t actually have the balls to show children in the games themselves though. That was one of the few things that made me respect Singularity.

This is however an obvious direct reply to the Dead Island trailer and the rampant acclaim it built up.
Riding on coat-tails.

Using kids is pretty common imagery. If you want to make an object more ominous and threatening you just put a kid in front of it.
Same as the World in Conflict thing. Soviet parachutes on US soil is bad enough, but putting a little girl in front if it seals the deal.
I don’t think it’s stupid. The clip with the actors was stupid.

I personally would of used this as the very first teaser to announce the game

Again Nope if it was it would be 3 mins using slow motion and a dramatic song to go with it. This is a 30 second clip of a little girl playing in a field of flowers and then she looks up and sees the impending attack of the reapers.
If it was a video with a pack of husks with a little girl running ahead that would be one thing but that is clearly not the case.

@9 You forgot to mention the “non-consequential” clip montage.
