The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim picks up five awards at IAAs

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim won five awards overnight in the Interactive Academy Awards at DICE, with other winners including Uncharted 3, Portal 2 and SWTOR.

The Bethesda RPG won the coveted Game of the Year award in Las Vegas tonight, as well as Outstanding Achievement in Gameplay Engineering, Gameplay Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Story and Role-Playing/Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year.

Another big winner was Uncharted 3, which picked up up three awards including Outstanding Achievement in Animation.

Other award-winners included Skylanders, Batman: Arkham City, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Portal 2, Forza Motorsport 4, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Bastion.

    Though i’ve not been able to play other games due to circumstances, I still feel Portal 2 is underrated.

    Quite like Skyrim and no qualms about some of the awards it’s got there but these two are a bit bizarre.

    Soo, Mw3 got the action game of the year award? Gotta say I was a little surprised… It will be a good year when there aint a CoD game on the awards list, getting a little old.
