7sixty to release Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior’s Rise on Xbox 360

It looks as though last month's rumor was true: 7sixty is bringing HurricaneX2, a 3D Kung Fu fighting game developed by a Chinese Kung Fu practitioner, westward as Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior’s Rise.

Kung Fu Strike tells the story of General Loh, a warrior out to avenge his father’s death, as warring factions send ancient China spiraling out of control. He must also discover what the mysterious ‘Zen Room of Emptiness’ entails.

Developed by Qooc Soft, the game takes its inspiration from ancient Chinese tales of revenge and retribution and adds a dash of "over-the-top" martial arts movies and arcade-stylings into a beat 'em up with calligraphy inspired graphics.

Players can perform various blends of punches, high kicks and blocks to pull off combos against hordes of enemies. It also contains unlockable techniques, support characters that can be called in to help, and special equipment.

It also has local two-player co-op and versus mode.

The game is slated for release through Xbox Live Arcade early this year.

An announcement video follows below along with three screenshots. More videos can be found through the link up top.
