Quick quotes: Levine on holding back large chunks of BioShock Infinite’s story from rest of dev team

“I want to preserve [it] and observe [the team], so I can see their reactions. Keeping people virgins to that content is really important because you never get that reaction from someone a second time. I think (it’s) a frustration on the team here. I don’t want them to know the game story, and they want a document from me that tells them the whole game story.” – Ken Levine, speaking to PSM3 (via CVG) on keeping bits of BioShock Infinite’s story from the rest of the development team at Irrational.

The game launches this year for PS3, 360 and PC.

I suppose that’s one way of ensuring that your script doesn’t get leaked.

The Doctor Who team handle this in a similar way, too. They tend to produce multiple endings for important endings and not even tell the actors which they’re actually going to use.
