Quick Shots - Crimson Shroud gives off slight Vagrant Story vibe

The first game from Tactics Ogre and Vagrant Story creator Yasumi Matsuno since his departure from Square Enix looks to tick all the right boxes.

Crimson Shroud is part of Grasshopper Manufacture's collection Guild01, and thanks to an update to the game's official website, translated by Siliconera, we now know a little more about it.

Players control Giaque, the spiky haired dude, who is a 20-something Chaser - that is, a professional sleuth, finding missing people and objects for clients.

Two party members are seen in the new images, along with Crimson Shroud's visual novel story telling, tabletop-RPG inspired dice rolling, and one of the game's maps, the Rahab Palace.

One other tidbit came out of the update; the music comes courtesy of Hitoshi Sakimoto, a prolific composer with credits ranging from Tekken through Final Fantasy, Gradius, and Bomberman.

Guild01 is a 3DS exclusive due in Japan some time in 2012; western release has not been confirmed.
