Capcom “working on a solution” to Resident Evil: Revelations boxart typo

You’ve probably seen this photo of a copy of Resident Evil: Revelations, featuring an all-too-easy typo. Don’t worry – you probably won’t be stuck with it.

In a statement issued to Kotaku, Capcom USA said its hoping to find some way to get the correct art in early adopters’ hands:

“It has come to our attention that there was a misspelling on the Resident Evil Revelations packaging. We apologize for the mistake, which will be corrected for subsequent productions of the game. We are working on a solution to provide affected customers with the correct packaging.”

On the Capcom Unity forums, senior vice president Christian Svensson assured fans not everyone will be affected.

“We’re aware that this has affected a portion of the production run. There’s likely to be some news to follow closer to launch on this topic,” he said.

Resident Evil: Revelations releases exclusive for 3DS on January 27 in Europe, and in early February elsewhere.

Thanks, GoNintendo.

Revelaitons is a good word. Let’s keep that for the old dictionary
