FFXIII-2 producer drops more hints at story DLC

New comments from the game's producer have added weight to reports of upcoming story-driven DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2.

"There is more DLC items coming that we'll reveal when the time is appropriate," producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed during a video posted on the Square Enix Blog.

"We're not just planning boss battles or costumes but also planning episodic DLC items that will hopefully expand on the universe and the gameplay for Final Fantasy XIII-2."

Famitsu leaks yesterday claimed Square Enix plans to release "secret story" missions DLC, possibly including some focusing on Lightning, the protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII, much loved by fans but with a backseat role in the sequel.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 releases on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 31 in the US, and February 3 in Europe. Watch the full interview with Kitase below.
