Watch the Xbox 360-exclusive Witcher 2 opening cinematic
Head through the break to check out a brand new cinematic for the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
PC players may remember the outcome of this event, but never got to see it firsthand. The trailer was aired during today’s full reveal of the console-tailored Enhanced Edition, and has now made its way to GameTrailers.
The Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is due on April 17.

The prelude was about a minute too long, but good shit.
All you need to sell the game is this though:

It’s only semi-official (unofficial soundtrack) but that’s the best trailer I’ve ever seen, and I’ve actually sold several of my friends on the game just by showing it
If you see that and don’t want to play it, you’re either dumb or deceased.

@2 I couldn’t agree more that trailer is pure epicness.
When I first saw it remind of Alone in the Dark trailers with Bulgeria’s folklore music.

@2: Good Trailer, but in my honest opinion not as good as this one:

I would rather see how the game looks during actual gameplay, to be honest.

@4 Awesome, it says everything about what a great game The Witcher 2 is.
I hope the people on the 360 are smart enough to see it too.
Chopin is no stranger to videogame commercials though.

Also one of the all time greats in my opinion. It doesn’t show the game at all, but I still wanted to play it.
@6 I don’t think it’s meant to make you buy it right away, more like getting you interested.
I don’t know about you, but if I see those kinds of scenes from a videogame, I’m gonna investigate.

@7: Ah yeah, the classic. Gotta admit though, i really liked the live-action Trailer for ODST.
While we’re on the subject of amazing trailers with good music:

@8 Holy shit, that’s one of my biggest favourites of all time.
The game that is.
This one is the one that really got me. It might be because I’m Scandinavian and that’s Norway, but it’s downright moving.

That was probably the best one I’d ever seen before the Witcher 2 one.

Game wasn’t that great, but the trailer sold it well.
What happened to the developer of World in Conflict? Last time i check they worked on the last AC Game.

@10 Yeah, they’ve been through hell.
Sierra and Blizzard were owned by Vivendi Games, and Vivendi Games merged with Activision. Activision didn’t want Sierra, and they didn’t want Massive, so as I heard it, that meant that Soviet Assault came to consoles really late because of the transition, and then they got sold to Ubisoft who haven’t really used them for a damn thing.
I heard that a lot of the team has quit, and I don’t think you can blame them.
Their whole vision was making all those great strategy games. Now they’re supporting Assassins Creed and Far Cry on the Ubisoft assembly line.
Huge shame, that was probably my favourite studio.
Funny with Singularity. I tried to play it but I just couldn’t get into it. That trailer makes me want to try again

@11: It’s okay, the ending is actually interesting, but i think it lacks a real personality.
