Ten more maps, two modes for Modern Warfare 3 in 2012
Activision has outlined the remaining 18 content drops of a promised 20 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
According to a calendar on the Call of Duty website, players can expect ten new maps, six Spec Ops missions, and two new modes over the next nine months.
The first two drops – Liberation and Piazza maps – arrived on Xbox Live today.
The schedule, listed in full below, applies to Elite subscribers only; plebs have to wait for sporadic releases at a later date. All drops will launch first on Xbox 360, and then appear on PC and PlayStation 3 after an exclusivity period.
- February: New map
- March: New map, two new Spec Ops missions
- April: Two new maps
- May: New map, new Spec Ops mission
- June: New map, new Spec Ops mission, new game mode
- July: Two new maps
- August: New map, new Spec Ops mission, new game mode
- September: New map, new Spec Ops mission

10 new maps = 2 map packs with 5 each like usual so nothing new there.
6 spec ops mission that’ll likely just be survival areas and two game modes.
2 map packs = £20 = £10 each
CoD Elite = £32
So £12 for 6 spec ops missions and two modes. Hmmm

Wow can we say rip off. Make a game from 2007. And overcharge the shit out of your consumers for crappy ‘dlc’ which were maps that didn’t make the final cut if the game. SUCK A FATTIES ACTIVISION

Now that the cards are down… Sorry, but Elite, which initially sounded like a good idea (probably owning to the vagueness of what the “content drops” were actually going to be) sounds shite.

Wait a second, only two maps for 15$ that will make like a total of 10 maps for 120$, man words cannot describe what i am feeling and thinking right now.

@5 you’re a dope dude…the 2 maps don’t cost anything for premium elite members since the $50 sub covers all DLC…non-premium elite members like myself have to wait until a map pack comes out some time in March which will include all the content drops up to that point which would be 4 MP maps and 2 spec ops missions which would be priced at a total of $15

It’s just another example of major publishers taking money for nothing.
People are paying extra so they “don’t have to wait” – But the only reason they have to wait is because Activision is keeping it from them.
That’s one of the worst things about gaming today in my opinion. Whether it’s online passes or this shit, once people start charging for a product that only exists in LALA-land, something has gone wrong.
