Resident Evil 6 development team numbered over 600
Hiroyuki Kobayashi, executive producer for Resident Evil 6, has said the team working on the latest iteration is the largest ever for a Capcom title.

According to Kobayashi, over 600 people were involved with its development, including 150 members of Capcon HQ in Japan.
Previously, Dragon’s Dogma held the title of having a team consisting of 150 members.
It sounds as though the large development team was needed, according to Kobayashi, RE6 has “a larger world and deeper experience than you have played before,” all rolled into a “blend of action and survival horror.”
You can watch the video of Kobayashi making his statements below and he is followed by the announcement trailer of the game – which you have already seen.
Thanks, Eurogamer.

Hopefully this means quality. Assassin’s Creed games have had 200-400 member teams for some time but haven’t helped the series one bit since AC2.

Looks like one half knows what the people want and the other wants to deliver the same Michael Bay Experience RE5 was.

600 people for a game is like 450 too many.

I think there was a very similar article about RE5 in 2008 or 2009..
