GameStop UK closes Northern Irish stores

GameStop UK has closed all of its stores based in Northern Ireland, according to a Gaming Liberty report (via CC).

The closure was effective from yesterday. Staff were only informed of the pullout from the North this past Sunday, with posters greeting customers outside the flagship store in Belfast.

TGL claims that NDAs have been signed by store management to prevent them talking about the closure until a statement has been made by GameStop, while customers have been told on its UK Facebook page of the retailer that "all outstanding deposits and gift cards" will be honoured on GameStop UK's website.

Locations that had GameStop outlets included Derry and Newry, as well as Belfast.
