UKIE sells GfK Chart-Track stake, inks new five year charts deal

UKIE's sold its 20% share of Gfk Chart-Track back to the company, its told MCV, but has simultaneously announced a new five-year deal that sees it as the exclusive partner of the UK charts.

The trade organisation said the money from the sale would fund things such as the NextGen Skills campaign, IP matters and industry support.

In a press release this afternoon, UKIE said it'd continue to be the exclusive partner of the UK games charts, providing data from the typical games charts, as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

"We are delighted to continue our close relationship with GfK Chart Track," said UKIE CEO, Jo Twist.

"Their sales reports are vitally important to the games industry and we look forward to continuing to deliver them to our members and the market as a whole."
