Mojang teases Minecraft jungle biome

Minecraft lead Jens Bergensten tweeted a picture of a jungle biome, presumably on its way to Minecraft in a future update. A later tweet suggests unique animals may eventually appear to populate the new environment, too.

Thanks, Gamefront.

Am I the only one who thinks there are too many trees in the most recent builds already?

It feels very cluttered compared to the older builds. I like being able to enjoy the scenery.

Yeah, it can be cluttered. Though a jungle actually needs the clutter, it works.

Though I can’t help but think after seeing this that someone really, really needs to make a treehouse city. And Minecraft needs rickety bridges added to that end.

They really need to make it so you can climb vines, or at least some vines.

I hope they start focusing more on building/creating for the next update. It feels like a long time since we’ve seen any major changes in that department.
