Zumba Fitness series moves 6 million worldwide, Majecsco revenue up 65%

Majesco has announced Zumba Fitness has become the fastest-selling franchise "in the company's history", with the series moving 6 million units total across two releases.

Noted in the firm's financial report for Q4 and the fiscal year ending October 31, 2011, Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton said the original Zumba Fitness moved 4 million units during its first 12 months at retail, and was the number one fitness title of the year in the US and UK.

Zumba Fitness 2, meanwhile, has sold over 1 million units worldwide since it launched in November 2011.

Majesco's Q4 revenue came in at $25.1 million, which is up 8% year-over-year, with yearly revenue for 2011 up 65% to $125.3 million.
