WoW update 4.3 last major content drop before Pandaria

Blizzard’s said World of Warcraft’s just-released update 4.3 will be the last before the launch of the MMO’s next expansion, Mists of Pandaria.

Lead quest designer Dave Kosak told Videogamer the recent update is “the climax” of the game’s content run for Cataclysm.

“4.3 is definitely the climax of Cataclysm, so there’s no more Cataclysm content,” said Kosak.

“Traditionally we’ve had a grace period where we patch the game before the expansion comes out and you get sort of mechanical changes before you get the new expansion content. So we’ll have a world event prior to Mists of Pandaria, but that’s mostly a part of Mists of Pandaria’s launch and it’s not really more Cataclysm content.”

Blizzard has yet to actually put a date on the next expansion since its unveil at Blizzcon last October, with the big ticket for this year almost set to be Diablo III and maybe StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

Update 4.3 Hour of Twilight launched last month.

    and how is this news?

Every major patch that adds major content aka raids always ends with 0.3

It’s always like that since Burning Crusade: 0.1, 0.2, 0.3

Blizzard did say last year, that if we didn’t get a release from them that year, there would be two releases in 2012. Now one of them is of course Diablo 3. But the question is, is the second one Mist of Panderia or HotS? I hope for the latter, since i’m playing SC2, and not WoW :P
