Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer shows off Historia Crux system
A new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 has arrived to assist those still wrapping their heads around the time-travel component.
Called the Historia Crux, the time travel system is central to Final Fantasy XIII-2′s plot, which skips off in all directions along alternate, history-changing timelines. Players have the ability to return to previously-explored areas, too.
The anticipated RPG sequel is expected on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the end of January in the US, and in early February in Europe.
Thanks, Siliconera.

Gotta admit, I liked the demo. The game really does fix almost every problem the original one had.
I mean, I quite liked the actual combat system of FFXIII. The problem with the game was *everything else*.

I actually found the one true sticking point with 13 was the lack of direct control over the other people standing in a line next to you. Sure you could set up all sorts of stuff and I know that it was done to create a better flowing battle but I still missed being able to choose when to use what exactly.

@2 Although its not exactly the same, you can now change who you’re controlling in the middle of battle in FFXIII-2.
Having monsters in your team that you can switch in and out during battle, each with their own unique “limit breaks” that you manually activate, also breaks up the monotony a bit.

@1 same here,it was kind of fun
they fixed a lot of things but they ruined some others, naturally.Word has it the story is even worse than the previous. Some good ideas in there which aren’t executed well and fall completely flat.
