Euro PS Store and Plus update January 18 – Starhawk beta, GT5 DLC, Reckoning demo
Sony’s updated the European end of PS Plus and the PS Store with quite a few goodies. See below the break

Plus members get access to the Starhawk beta today, along with a nice discount on Stranger’s Wrath and Arc the Lad – the later is also available as a PSone Classic.
There’s permanent price drops on Cubixx HD and select mini titles through the PS Store, along with add-on content for Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends, Disney Universe, Saints Row: The Third, Gran Truismo 5 and a lovely demo for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

@1 So? Video games did just fine without trophies for over 30 years.
I really don’t understand why people feel the need to have some sort of virtual trophy case to justify their investment in a game. I mean, they’re a fun meta-game thing to do, but when they’re defining direction you take through a game, that’s just sad. Whatever happened to simply enjoying a game purely for the sake of enjoying it?
