Kasabian headlines OST for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare

Remedy and EMI Scandinavia have announced the soundtrack for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, featuring the amazing Kasabian.

The band’s first breakout single from its debut album, Club Foot, features in the game, as does Ed Harcourt’s Me Watching the Sun Come Up. A new song featuring Old Gods of Asgard from the original will also be included

The first Alan Wake featured licensed songs at the end of each chapter, more notably David Bowie at the end of the game.

“Music played an important role in the original Alan Wake and we’ve carried that tradition over to American Nightmare with an exceptionally strong selection of original and licensed songs,” said Remedy franchise dev head Oskari Hakkinen.

“And to spice things up a little more, Alan’s old-time buddy and literary agent Barry Wheeler has become the manager of the game’s seminal rock-band Old Gods of Asgard – expect a brand new single to be included with the game!”

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is part of XBLA House Party, and is expected to launch anytime between February 15 and March.

So with Old Gods of Asgard returning, can we look forward to more Poets of the Fall in AW?

@1 – That would be a good decision, I loved the song they did for Max Payne 2.

@2 Yes, really. Besides Empire, they’ve had some good shit. And I’ve seen them twice live (most recent being in November last year). ‘Amazing.’

@7 Oh please. Your tastes are not universal. That band is not really my cup of tea.
