Mod Alert: Red Orchestra 2 now includes SDK

In a lovely hat-tip to its Unreal Tournament origins, Tripwire Interactive has unveiled the software development kit for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.

Tripwire had already tested the SDK by handing out limited copies to "select modders", resulting in adaptations built based on the Vietnam conflict, Continuation War and World War I, but now the gates have been thrown open to anyone who has even a passing interest.

The developer has handed over the tools to make "everything from simple mods and mutators, through custom maps and on to full total conversion mods."

Want to get in on that action? You'll need a copy of Red Orchestra 2, which you can pick up from Steam - and the SDK is included for free, tucked away under the 'Tools' tab.
