2K announces return of MLB 2K12 $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge

2K has announced the return of its rather popular $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge, which will see eight finalists competing in a live MLB 2K12 tournament to win mega-money.

For the third consecutive year, players will try to pitch a perfect game in Major League Baseball 2K12. This year's competition features a few changes, however.

Beginning on Major League Baseball's Opening Day, April 4, finalists will be determined by a dynamic leaderboard ranking the top perfect games thrown. Contestants can repeatedly attempt to improve their position on the leaderboard through the end of April.

Participants will not be required to submit video recordings of their game as in previous years, but will instead compete in a special challenge mode. Players will enter a code which pops up on the screen after throwing a perfect game into the challenge's official website.

More details on the finalist event will be announced soon. You can pick up a copy of MLB 2K12 on March 6.

The game will be available for DS, PSP, PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360.
