RedLynx: Trials Evolution date announcement “in the near future”

RedLynx has promised it’ll announce a release date for Trials Evolution “in the near future.” The sequel was promised for a 2011 release on Xbox Live Arcade initially, but never appeared. Now the Finnish studio’s come out to quell any fears over its release. “We have been very busy with the game, but 2012 is the year. We can’t say when yet, but we are super busy, so that’s a clue,” the company said on Facebook. “We hope to have a big announcement with a more solid release date within the the near future.”

Evolution will be published by Microsoft Studios despite RedLynx being bought by Ubisoft last year.

I hope is sooner rather than later, but just take your time to deliver another great game like the first one

I think with this being Microsoft published, its pretty much a given that this has simply been pushed back to coincide with “Summer of Arcade” or one of the other big game months that Microsoft likes to run.

But hey, if they’re creating even more content in the meantime, I can’t really complain. I expect it to be just as good, if not better, than the original.
