Multiverse platform saved, Firefly MMO still possible

Good news, Whedonites – Massively reports a newly-founded developer called Multiverse Foundation has picked up the freely-released source code for the canned Multiverse MMO platform project. The new team is apparently “starting work full-time on the actual MMO creation platform” and will move on securing the rights to Firefly as its first game if fan interest is strong enough.

When will I find the time to play this?!? I can’t resist any Firefly-branded thingy (I’d buy the newly discovered 12 inch-long Reaverized Serenity model if I were rich :P ) so a MMO?
