OPM UK’s gone live with the full Hideo Kojima interview it featured in its last issue last month. The chat discusses the history of the MGS series and Kojima’s thoughts on MGS1-4, as well as details on Metal Gear Rising, Project Ogre and discussion on Metal Gear Solid 5. You can get it here. It’s definitely worth a read.

Man, what a good read inside the link, what a damn good read. MGS has become a mythology such as any comic book and/or novel and has such a vast universe I myself can imagine a thousand stories to tell including and not Solid Snake and fellows. That doesn’t mean (even a bit) I’ll buy every single title with the MGS title… we skipped Ghost Babel because we’re not portable players and same with Ac!d releases, Portable Ops and Peace Walker (this last one I’m playing thanks to the HD Collection and feels a little weird but not bad at all) so there should be absolutely no problem skipping Revengeance…as console players…and just wait for, as they say, the Big Man to take over again and bring us back to the true MGS universe inside of his brilliant mind. 2012, four years after MGS4 and I still can’t find something that BIG… and yes, I played Reach, GoW3 (both), Uncharted (all) and others. Silent Hill died, Devil May Cry is at risk… but neither of them have the powerful, biblic and incredible detailed universe MGS has.

@1 Agreed. I really can’t find any other game to transcend the (true) MGS story and universe. There’s just so much depth in its character development and plot…it’s actually quite ridiculous…in a good way of course. When playing MGS games, you’re not playing it because of its gameplay, but because of its amazing story.
