PlayStation creator Ken Kutaragi working on “totally cool” project
In the latest issue of Bloomberg, as reported by Gamersthirst, Ken Kutaragi is quoted as saying his latest project is “totally cool”. The Sony Computer Entertainment President and engineer was an integral part of every PlayStation console’s development, but retired to the role of honorary chairman in 2007 before stepping down to senior technology advisor this year. The engineer refused to be drawn on details of the new project, and suggested other members of Sony’s old guard might have something to tell.

UFC on Xbox 360 delayed to December 20
Microsoft has announced that the UFC App on Xbox 360 has been delayed. The pay-per-view on-demand video content was originally slated for release tonight, but will instead be made available on December 20, which will features a match-up between Lesnar and Overeem. The next match on the docket is December 10, and is between Jones and Machida. No word on why the App was canceled last minute was provided at press time. Thanks, Shack.

Back to Karkand hits PS3 Dec. 6, PC and 360 Dec. 13
DICE has announced that Battlefield 3′s Back to Karkand will be released next Tuesday, December 6 on PS3. The map pack will be a PS3-exclusive until December 13 when it arrives on PC and Xbox 360.

Acquire’s ink-themed Vita actioner Sumioni looks lovely, interesting

First level of Super Mario Land created with 18 million Minecraft blocks
Some Minecraft fans have spent 500 hours in the game recreating the first two minutes and twenty seconds of Super Mario Land, using more than 18 million Minecraft blocks. We can’t figure out if these fellas are geniuses, insane, or just really talented. Probably a bit of all, really. Created by carpenter James Wright, Joe Ciappa and Tempusmori, the group ran the “monochrome platformer in an emulator” and replicated it “pixel-for-wool-block-pixel” inside a giant Minecraft-style Game Boy. According to Engadget, it took the team four weeks of six to seven hour days without a day off to create this. Watch the videos for it below.

Mass Effect 3 developer video focuses on combat
Bioware has released a new Pulse video which focuses on the combat in Mass Effect 3. Once the N7 collector’s edition plug is finished around the 1.50 mark, the developers get down to business discussing how the game’s enemies will be smarter and players will have class-specific powers to combat the extra IQ enemies have gained. These class-specific changes also apply to combat moves, so that each Commander Shepard will differ from the next. Mass Effect 3 is out in early March for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. [pic]

New Resident Evil: Revelations video focuses on story, characters
Capcom has released a story mode trailer for Resident Evil: Revelations, which elaborates on the game’s plot and the characters. Posted below, the trailer also provides a look at The FBC, its leader Morgan Lansdale, BSAA director Clive R. O’Brian, person of interest Raymond Vester, and the city of Terragrigia. Jill Valentine is in there too, as is Chris Redfield and his new partner Jessica Sherawat and BSAA agent Parker Luciani.
Revelations releases for 3DS on February 7 in the US and on Jan 27 in Europe.

Steam announces the Daily Wishlist Giveaway
Valve has announced that the Daily Wishlist Giveaway starts today on Steam and will rum through the end of the holiday season. Like last year, each day 10 people will win the top 10 games on their Wishlist.
To enter, you must have a Steam account and a Wishlist with at least 10 games. Also, each day you will need to visit the gamepage of the featured daily deal, starting with Terraria, which is 75% off at the moment.

DmC gameplay trailer has an abundance of hacking, slashing, shooting

Square releases first image of its action-RPG in development
Square Enix has published a piece of artwork from its action-RPG in development. The shot was posted through its recruiting site, where it lists positions available for network programmer, background modelers and a real-time 3D graphics programmer. At this point, not much is known regarding the medieval-styled game, but it will feature online play in some form, according to project lead Ryutaro Ichimura. South Park: The Game RPG announced, is next GI cover
Game Informer has announced its January cover will be devoted to Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s South Park: The Game, which is being developed in collaboration with THQ and Obsidian. The game is a “full-scale RPG” where players step into the shoes of the new kid in South Park who must make new friends and “defend the town from a wide range of threats.” It is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and the January issue of Game Informer will contain more information on it, as well as an interview with Parker and Stone. The game is slated for release in the second half of calendar 2012.

Brink free on Steam this weekend to celebrate Clans and Tournament launch

Syndicate weapons trailer and screens released, co-op shots land as well
EA has released a new weapons trailer for Syndicate, along with some screens to go along with it. The lovely bits of new media are posted below, along with some co-op screens.
