Nintendo UK appoints new head of communications
Nintendo’s announced that Jo Bartlett will become its new head of communications in the UK. Bartlett, who’s previously done PR for PlayStation and Warner Bros., replaces Rob Saunders, who left the company back in April this year for Apple. Until now, his role had been left vacant. Dynasty Warriors Next confirmed for EU Vita launch
Tecmo Koei’s confirmed it’ll release Dynasty Warriors Next as a launch title for Vita in Europe on February 22. The game will come with SIXAXIS, touch-screen and touchpad support, as well as Live Area support for “a rich multiplayer experience” with the 3G-supportable Conquest Mode and Coalition Mode. Driver: San Francisco 360 update goes live
Ubisoft’s released a new update for Driver: San Francisco on Xbox 360, mainly aimed on balancing online gameplay. Players will now be able to use Shift efficiently if they are only just joining an online match. Online tag has also been been balanced. More details are on CVG.

Final Fantasy XIII-3 not on the cards despite domain registration
Speaking in a podcast, Square Enix public relations officer Akio Ofuji has explained a Final Fantasy XIII-3 domain registration as a defensive measure. According to Andriasang‘s translation, the registration was made by the US office, and Japanese staff weren’t aware about it until the story was picked up by press. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due in Japan this month, with a Western release early next year on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Capcom to ship 420,000 copies of Monster Hunter 3G
Based on retailer sources, Andriasang reports Capcom will have 420,000 copies of Monster Hunter 3G ready for launch in Japan on December 10. 100,000 will be shipped as Slide Pad bundles, and 20,000 in 3DS system bundles.
Monster Hunter Tri sold more than 800,000 copies on Wii, and over 4 million units on PSP even before a recent PSP The Best budget re-release. Even the HD PS3 version managed 287,829 sales in its debut week. Capcom expects this fourth version to manage another 1.5 million sales. Retailers expect demand to exceed the initial shipping.
