Quick Quotes – Bethesda may retain Skyrim’s bucket theft technique

20111212skyrim

“I think our favorite [user made video] really is putting the buckets on the heads. It was like day two, and we went, what? Do we fix that? Our lead programmer is pissed and wants to fix it, and I said I’m not sure we should. That’s one of those where maybe we leave it in.”

– Bethesda’s Todd Howard admits to Joystiq that he has a fondness for one of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s more amusing emergent techniques.

Quick Quotes – Cliff Bleszinski on Epic’s “no dudebros” Fortnite

20111212fortnite

“There’s no dudebros in it. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, right? Creatively for the team, Gears has been amazing for us. But it’s fun to kind of stretch our wings and do something that’s a little different from the usual. It was a project that was pitched internally. I was a staunch supporter of the idea, because the game is just like a no-brainer – I was like yes.”

– Cliff Bleszinski, lead creative on Gears of War, tells Joystiq his feelings on Epic’s very different new project, Fortnite, which was revealed at the VGAs this weekend.
