Plants vs Zombie iOS update adds I, Zombie mode and more

PopCap has quietly updated the iOS version of Plants vs Zombie to version 1.9, adding in two new ways to play.

I, Zombie and I, Zombie Endless give the player the chance to take the battle to the plants (in cruelty-free cardboard form) in control of a zombie army.

There are nine new levels to experience in the new mode, and of course, as many as you can manage in its endless equivalent.

The I, Zombie puzzles also appear in the PC and Mac versions of the game, but the iOS version gets a few new unique tweaks, too - four new achievements and three new GameCentre leaderboards.

If you fire the game up, you'll also notice the characters have decked the hall, and themselves, in festive cheer.

Plants vs Zombies is available across a number of platforms and is coming to Vita as a launch title.
