Sony still aiming to sell 15 million PS3s by end of FY2012, says House

SCE head honcho Andrew House has said that 15 million PS3 sales is still the main goal for year's end.

Speaking to journalists today (via Reuters), he said sales were projected to be slightly ahead of expectation.

In the same briefing, House declined to give a sales estimate for Vita ahead of the handheld's Japanese launch this Saturday, but said that currency rates could depend on when the company turns a profit on the machine.

Vita comes to the US and Europe on February 22.

House was promoted from president and CEO of SCEE earlier this year to become president of SCE, taking over from Kaz Hirai, who became chairman.
