Kamiya not involved with Metal Gear Rising

Just in case you thought the full E3 rumour of Platinum doing Metal Gear Rising was going to come to fruition, you thought wrong. While the Bayonetta developer is now confirmed to be part of the project, Bayonetta boss Hideki Kamiya, initially thought to be involved, has confirmed he isn’t part of its development. In a tweet, he said: “Hey everyone, I said 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times that I have nothing to do with Metal Gear Rising.”

More details on Rising will drop today and tomorrow.

    Well I guess this is good news. But who knows who’s telling the truth? PG came out earlier this year and said that they had nothing to do with MGS: Rising. But we see how that turned out.

    @1 Actually, no they didn’t.

    If you look at what was said back then, they only ever said that Kamiya wasn’t working on any projects with Konami. As you can see, that’s still completely true.

    They never outright said “Platinum Games isn’t working on Rising”.

    Even Kojima didn’t outright deny it.
