Ninja Gaiden 3 multiplayer's modes, stealth and more detailed

A press event this week has yielded a few details of Ninja Gaiden 3's multiplayer.

According to 1UP, the game's multiplayer component has at last two modes, Clan Battle and Battle Royale, which play out as team or free-for-all deathmatches respectively.

Players are awarded extra points for stylish kills, and can also meet specific requirements to earn bonuses.

By moving slowly, players can trigger a stealth-mode which ends in one glorious attack.

Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi said his enjoyment of the unusual multiplayer of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood inspired him to add multiplayer, although it sounds like Ninja Gaiden 3's approach is much more focused on fast-paced action than stealth.

You can check out some screenshots of the multiplayer in action. Team Ninja has confirmed the game is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2012, with a Wii U version to follow.
