First full Japanese TV spot debuts “If we play, we’re friends” campaign

Friday, 2nd December 2011 02:23 GMT By Brenna Hillier

The first PlayStation Vita commercial is disappointingly less insane than its teaser suggested.

The cycling fellow is Eita Nagayama, an actor whose works include Tokyo Friends: The Movie and Dear Doctor. He shouts “I got a PlayStation Vita”, as the uploader has helpfully speech-bubbled.

At the end of the trailer there’s a making-of feature, too.

And that’s it. No gazing at power plugs. No strange German cereal eating. No creepy-arse dolls.

Sony, I am disappoint.

Vita launches in Japan in mid-December, and arrives in Western markets in February.

Thanks, Andriasang.
