Classification Board hints at Aussie release for Star Wars: The Old Republic

A mysterious new listing on the Australian Classification Board suggests Star Wars: The Old Republic may see official local release after all.

A game attributed to "BioWare/Lucas" has appeared on the Classification database.

The description "science fiction themes, violence and drug references" earned the game an M rating with an "online content variable" advisory.

It all points due SWTOR, and although the game is titled as "Paper, Scissors, Stone" it's reasonably common for local representatives to submit games under a codename until release is officially announced. There appears to be no classification rating under the title Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Australian gamers have had to order copies of the game from overseas vendors after BioWare and EA regretfully announced they "couldn't commit" to a timeframe for antipodean release. Happily, the game and its servers aren't region locked.

The MMORPG arrives everywhere else on December 20, exclusively for PC.
