Future’s PS Access most downloaded free item on PSN
PlayStation Access TV, the new program from the team behind FirstPlay at Future, is the most downloaded free item from the PlayStation Network, Sony has said. SCE’s Ian Vinten told MCV that the show, named from the same community event held by Sony, had also amasssed 14,500 Facebook fans when Access took over from FirstPlay in the fall. Gilbert shows off art for Double Fine collaboration
Deathspank creator Ron Gilbert’s shown off two pieces of concept art from his upcoming, unannounced game. The art, which consists of a female doctor and a man in a suit, comes from a collaboration being made at Double Fine with Gilbert’s old Monkey Island partner, Tim Schafer. Posting on his website Grumpy Gamer, Gilbert said the game comes from “an idea that has been in my head for a long, long, long time,” since before Monkey Island. More news on it “will follow later.”

200 people working on Rainbow Six: Patriots, says Ubi Montreal comms boss
Ubisoft Montreal currently has 200 people working on Rainbow Six: Patriots, according to the studio’s director of comms Cedric Orvoine. The fact comes in a video tour of the Ubisoft flagship studio by Game Informer as part of the magazine’s exhaustive coverage on the Clancy sequel. You can watch the video here.

Skyrim app give lowdown on map locales, loot drops, more
Dragon Shout is a new app that features a fully zoomable map of Skyrim, and includes drop markers for loot and areas for alchemy recipes. Upcoming features will include being able to share map markers, a chat function and uploading pictures.

Nintendo to release new Nintendogs + Cats pink 3DS bundle for US
Nintendo’s announced it’ll release a new 3DS hardware in the US ahead of the Christmas, mainly consisting of Nintendogs + Cats. The pack will contain a pink console, as well as either French Bulldog and New Friends or Toy Poodle and New Friends. It’ll cost $169.99.

Skyrim becomes first western game to get Famitsu 40/40
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the first western title to get a full score from Famitsu. The incredible Bethesda open-world RPG is the 17th game in the publication’s 25 year history to get a 40/40 in the magazine’s latest issue, according to this Japanese site via a tweet from RPGSite‘s US Editor, Erren Van Duine. Still not enough indication it’s not going to sweep every game of the year award on the planet, though (note: of course it will). Go nuts, Japanese-reading massive.

Harada tweets Tekken x Street Fighter concept art
Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has tweeted a picture that appears to show hand-drawn concept art of Tekken x Street Fighter. The art, which shows Ryu and Chun-Li, gives an indication of how Street Fighter characters will fit in with the full 3D world of Tekken. Get the picture below the break.
Street Fighter x Tekken, set in the former’s 2.5D universe, launches on PS3 and 360 in March, with Vita and PC versions also due. Not much has been said on Namco’s effort so far.
