Rumor: GTA V information leaks out of UK magazine

Supposed details regarding Grand Theft Auto V have “leaked” from someone claiming to work for a PlayStation-focused magazine based in the UK. The rumored information was posted on GTAForums, and if any of this information is true, which it’s hard to know for sure at this point, expect a few spoilers out of it. NFS: The Run trailer directed by Michael Bay released

The Michael Bay-directed trailer for Need for Speed: The Run was “liked” enough times on Facebook to warrant a release by EA. It’s posted below the break, and it is, indeed pretty swish. We noticed a couple scenes in it that reminded us vaguely of his Transformers flicks, but, we could also be imagining things as well. Watch for yourself below. The game is out in mid-November. Gameplay video for Battlefield 3 goes Back to Karkand

EA and DICE have released a gameplay video for Back to Karkand, the upcoming DLC for Battlefield 3. It’s below the break. The pack is set for release in December, and features new weapons, vehicles, persistence, maps, and the return of Conquest Assault. It will be free for those who pre-ordered BF3, and will run £11.99 f/$14.99/1200 Microsoft Points for those who didn’t.

LEGO Universe shutting down on January 31

LEGO Group has announced its to close down its LEGO Universe MMO on January 31 to the lack of players. According to the firm it was a “very difficult decision to make”, but the game didn’t draw in enough members to “keep the game open.” As a thank you, all current, paying subscribers as of December 31, 2011, will get to play the game for the final month for free. The firm will also start processing any applicable refunds on February 1. You can view the entire FAQ on the matter through here. The studios in Denmark and Colorado working on the game will be shuttered as well, resulting in the loss of 115 jobs the game provided to employees. Thanks, Massively.

Kinect anniversary video released, Windows SDK beta moves into phase two

Microsoft has released a video, which shows all the various ways Kinect is being used, or in the process of being used for. It’s to celebrate the device turning a year old. Also the Kinect for Windows SDK beta has moved to stage two which adds “faster skeletal tracking, a better accuracy rate when it comes to skeletal tracking and joint recognition, and the ability to plug and unplug your Kinect without losing work or productivity.” The commercial program’s still slated for an early 2012 launch. New Assassin’s Creed: Revelations videos focus on the game’s multiplayer

Ubisoft has released two new multiplayer videos for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. The first one below the break, is a vignette video with a bit of story thrown in for good measure. The other, shows the various multiplayer characters available which should help you become “the ultimate Templar weapon.” Revelations is out on November 15 in the US and November 18 in the UK for PS3 and Xbox 360.
