New Serious Sam 3: BFE trailer focuses on melee combat
Croteam’s released a new trailer for Serious Sam 3: BFE and it features some brutal melee sequences showing you how you can use your bare hands to rip your enemy’s heart off, and do all other kinds of nasty things. The trailer’s really gory and reminds you of vintage Serious Sam action. The game’s out on November 22 for PC, PSN, and Xbox Live. You can watch the trailer after the break.

Call of Duty: Elite console app goes live on XBL
Activision’s gone live with the console app for Call of Duty: Elite on Xbox Live, enabling some of the free features for the service. When you register the app, you’ll also be able to get two hours worth of free XP from Modern Warfare 3. Get it queued from Marketplace for free here, and have it ready for MW3′s launch tonight.

Final Uncharted 3 Behind the Scenes video details TE Lawrence, ‘Atlantis of the sands’
Sony’s released the third and final part of its Behind The Scenes look of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, showing Naughty Dog cinematic lead Taylor Kurosaki, Nolan North and Emily ‘Elena Fisher’ Rose discuss the TE Lawrence and Crusades aspect to the story, as well as detail Ubar, the ‘Atlantis of the sands.’

Ex-Factor 5 staff posts details on canned PS3 exclusive Animal Wars
Factor 5 might be dead, but so has the NDAs on canned projects, it seems. One such project, as shown to GAF recently, is a PS3 exclusive called Animal Wars. One render from the game was posted, with info saying it was “World War II themed game that played like Warhawk but war between animals.” It would also have been “way better” than infamous PS3 launch title from F5, Lair.

Distant Worlds to return to Royal Albert Hall next November
Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy will return to London next year, organisers have confirmed. It was announced at this year’s event by conductor Arnie Roth over the weekend at the Royal Albert Hall that the event would return to the venue on November 17. DW London seen Roth collaborate with famed FF composer Nobuo Uematsu and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for musical pieces from the FF series, including famed FF8 piece Eyes on Me.

Minecraft hits 4 million units sold
Minecraft has now sold 4 million units, according to the game’s official website this morning. The event was marked by a tweet from creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson, who merely tweeted: “4milyay.”
Well done, Mojang massive. The full thing, two years after it initially went live in a basically bare state, releases next Friday.
