Bethesda provides a look into the World of Skyrim
Bethsda has released another video in its World of Skyrim series, and this one takes a behind-the-scenes look into the creation of the world and characters in the game. The world looks absolutely gorgeous, and it’s nice to hear more varied character voices than what was present in Oblivion – something the developers admittedly fixed this time out. Three more days, kiddos. Just three more days. Thanks, RonT.

Quick Quotes: Infinity Ward dismisses “silly publisher talk” over BF3 vs MW3 rivalry
“When both games succeed it’s better for the industry as a whole. It’s not just us – we want the gaming industry to succeed because the better the gaming industry does the better we all do. We root for everybody. Honestly, it’s the fans you want to listen to. They’re gamers, they’re going to play both games, both games are great. Much respect for everyone involved on the DICE side and I think they feel the same way with us. We’re friends with them. It’s not what they portray on the EA side.” – Modern Warfare 3 executive producer Mark Rubin to Eurogamer.

Quick quotes: Lack of info flow from Rockstar titles due to need to keep them “special,” says Houser
“It’s really important to us that the games (feel) kind of magical. It might annoy people that we don’t give out more information, but I think the end point is people enjoy the experience. … The less they know about how things are pieced together and how things are broken down and what our processes are, the more it will feel like this thing is alive, that you are being dragged into the experience. That’s what we want.” – Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser, speaking to Variety about the need to control the flow of information on the company’s games for a reason.
Rockstar has two titles seemingly planned for next year: Max Payne 3 in March and Grand Theft Auto V, which, while undated officially, is all but likely to be a 2012 game.

Analyst: MW3 could sell 6 million units today
Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia reckons Modern Warfare 3 could sell as much as 6 million units at launch today, 1 million more than what Black Ops did this time last year in its first 24 hours. “We expect MW3 to grow 10% versus last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, which has sold through more than 25 million units life-to date. We expect 5.5M-6.0M unit sales of MW3 on day 1 and nearly 18M units in the December quarter,” said Bhatia in a note. Big numbers, kids. Big numbers.
Thanks, IG.
