Free Badman game added to Japanese launch line up
Nippon Ichi’s unique dungeon defence series, variously known as Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman, What Did I Do To Deserve This My Lord, and No Heroes Allowed, will grace Vita’s Japanese launch with combination freeware game and personal scheduler.

Gameloft handing out free Android titles this weekend
Follow Ubisoft-owned mobile publisher Gameloft’s Android Twitter over the holiday weekend; the company intends to give away free games.
This batch of giveaways is specific to Android devices and the US, but keep an eye on GameloftUK, GameloftAus, GameloftUS and good old Gameloft for future promotions for other territories and devices.
Gameloft’s titles include MMORPG Order and Chaos and games based on Ubisoft properties.

PSA: Elite’s Friday Night Fights start this week, service at 95%, will be stable by Thursday
Activision has sent out a friendly reminder to all Modern Warfare 3 players letting them know that Call of Duty: Elite’s Friday Night Fights starts on November 25. Executive produced by Ridley Scott and Tony Scott’s RSA Films, and director RJ Cutler, real life rivals will go against one another in Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer matches. The inaugural episode pits teams from the US Army vs US Navy. Friday Night Fights starts at 12.00pm PST on Elite and can be accessed through the premium end of the service’s program guide. Following each initial broadcast, a replay will be available via streaming.
The firm has also said the service should be stable by Thursday, to prepare for the holiday weekend. Currently, overall average user functionality is at around 95%. According to Daniel Suarez, VP of production at Activision, speaking to VentureBeat: “We are where we should have been at launch. It should be an enjoyable holiday weekend for people.”

Ubisoft patches inverted aim support into Splinter Cell Trilogy on PSN
Ubisoft has patched the Splinter Cell Trilogy HD on PS3 to add inverted aim support after enough players informed the developer that it would be nice to have options pertaining to y-axis alignment. The firm has told Eurogamer the patch is only available for the PSN version at the moment, but one for the retail version is “coming soon.” The Splinter Cell HD Collection was released back in September.

The Bard’s Tale to release on iPad next week
InXile Entertainment has announced The Bard’s Tale will be released on iPad next week. The port will be rather large too, weighing in at 1.7GB. It will contain all the content included in the 2004 release and will include a “custom-redesigned user-interface for touch control” and “optional in-app purchases” for your character. Valve has announced that the Steam Autumn Sale has started. To kick off the savings and daily deals is Portal 2 for 66% off, Black Ops at 50% off, Duke Nukem Forever for 66% off. Mass Effect 2 is 75% off, Risen is 50% off, and so is Renegade Ops.

Vita in 200-screen avalanche: Uncharted, LBP, WipEout
A gazillion screenshots for PS Vita games have been released – well, maybe not a gazillion, but 200 at least. Shots include art and in-game screens from: Everybody’s Golf, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Resistance: Burning Skies, Sound Shapes, Super StarDust Delta, Top Darts, MotorStorm RC, Lumines, Gravity Rush, Michael Jackson The Experience, Reality Fighters, Escape Plan, Hustle Kings, Little Deviants, and LittleBigPlanet. Mari Shimazaki’s character designs for Soul Calibur V characters Lexia, Ivy and Tria have been released along with a bevvy of in-game shots from the fighter. Shimazaki, works as a freelance illustrator in various fields, and previously worked for Capcom where she designed characters on Okami before transferring to Platinum Games to work as a character designer for Bayonetta. Gears 3: Watch a movie trailer, finish Horde on Insane, get free weapon skins
Gears of War 3 players who finish Horde mode on Insane difficulty in either single-player or multiplayer, and who watch the Mission: Impossible trailer on XBL before December 25, will get a “themed weapon skin pack”. The pack consists of skins for the Lancer, Hammerburst, Retro Lancer, Gnasher Shotgun, and Sawed-off Shotgun. If you are unable to finish Horde on Insane, though, you’ll still be put in a contest to win separate prizes.
