3DS Circle Pad Pro add-on out January 27 in Europe

Nintendo confirmed today that Circle Pad Pro, the 3DS add-on which grants the handheld an extra thumbstick, will release alongside Resident Evil: Revelations in Europe on January 27

Revelations will ship as both a standalone game and a bundle with the peripheral.

“Built from the ground up specifically to make the best use of the Nintendo 3DS capabilities, players can now add a fourth control scheme to their Nintendo 3DS gameplay experience with the new Circle Pad Pro accessory which attached to the Nintendo 3DS system,” said Capcom.

“Use specific button combinations for more effective or expert play, or as a traditional twin-stick shooter. You can also make use of the touchscreen to solve puzzles, switch between weapons more easily and check out the labyrinthine map.”

Resident Evil: Revelations is set in 2005 and tells the storyline between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

Circle Pad Pro was shown for the first time at TGS in September.

“Built from the ground up specifically to desperately try and flog a horrific afterthought of a peripheral… players can throw good money after bad in a bid to save nintendo from heartbreaking, yet inevitable, irrelevance”.

At least that’s what *I* read it as.

fuck nintendo, they haven’t made an original core ip since pikmin, that was over 10 years ago. Nintendo representatives should be bitch slapped each time they say the word innovative.
