Assassin’s Creed survey mentions conflicts, could mean anything

Monday, 28th November 2011 13:56 GMT By Patrick Garratt

EmpireStateGamer’s got an image from an Assassin’s Creed user survey, part of which supposedly gauged opinion on potential future directions for the series.

Your starters for ten:

  • The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties of Medieval China
  • The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England
  • The culmination of the Pharaoh reign in Ancient Egypt
  • The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors
  • The confrontation between the British Colonists and native Americans during the American revolution of the 18th Century
  • The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution
  • The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan
  • The rise of Caesar’s Empire in Ancient Rome

The third Assassin’s Creed game is rumoured to be set in Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs, and has been forever, so this will only add fuel to the pyramid-shaped fire.

The next Assassin’s Creed game will release next year, and is expected to round off Desmond’s story. The third full game should come after it, most likely in 2013.

“The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England”

That one, I really want that one.

“The rise of Caesar’s Empire in Ancient Rome”

    Comes in a close second.

“The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution ”

    Sounds good too.

The rest sound a bit meh to me, but they’d probably end up being brilliant anyway :P

Don’t know how “The confrontation between the British Colonists and native Americans during the American revolution of the 18th Century” is supposed to work.

You can only choose a period that has many buildings. AssCreed is about the freerunning. Nothing to run on during that time in that place.

I’m still for the Russian Revolution. Nobody touched that in a videogame. Ever.

I reckon it’ll be *none* of these things and this is to gauge interest on the one *after* AC3.

The next big one will SURELY be the long-anticipated French Revolution. After that, my money’s on Victorian London before bringing the series into the present day.

As an American, I’d most like to see the Victorian England one. It’s funny so many Brits think we Americans don’t like them. Most, if not all of the people I know are enamored with British people and culture.

Except chavs, those should be stabbed repeatedly until they stop moving.

Victorian England for me to. The industrial and cultural change makes it the perfect candidate. Plus lovely architecture, dabbles in the Occult and lots of fog!

Btw AC3 is way more likely to be set during the French Revolution.
It didn’t come up in the survey whereas Egypt did. They’ve been working on AC3 for a while now and so wouldn’t have included that setting in the poll. Is there a way for us to see the rest of the survey?

    I invented a story
First Desmond’s Roman legionnaire fighting with Galli there to make large-scale battles.
He later became EQUITES then remove it for political reasons, but he survives and becomes assassins to seek revenge.

If the new assassins creed game is all about Desmond, then it should be set in the future where there will be many high buildings and wider areas and I hope they will give him the ability to glide and grapple, that would be awesome. I love the story of this game and I hope they don’t mess it up
