Namco x Capcom UK industry Fight Club passes £5,000

Namco's surpassed its £5,000 target for upcoming UK games industry charity event, Fight Club.

The exact figure reached since donations started last month is £5,031.51.

Slots for the night are now fully booked, but donations can still be made on the JustGiving page here, with all proceeds going to industry charity GamesAid.

Fight Club will contain old and new fighters from both publishers. Joint effort Street Fighter x Tekken, which is to release in March, will be at the event. Also playable will be Soul Calibur V and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Tekken creator Katsuhiro Harada and Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono will also be there on the night.

The press release that went out this afternoon came with a Potential Highlights section, one of which suggested a VG247 vs Destructoid fight. We're game. We're going to be there in some form, anyway.

The event takes place in London next Friday.
