Borderlands novel drops November 22

Fans of both reading and the compulsive collection or random weapon drops will be delighted to know Tuesday brings a new novel called Borderlands: The Fallen.

Due on November 22, the paperback goes for $10.88 on pre-order, and the Kindle version is $9.99.

You can read a PDF extract from the novel here, or check it out on Amazon. The whole thing runs to 352 pages and was written by John Shirley.

Shirley was also behind the novelisation of BioShock, Doom, and a Batman novel called Dead White, among an impressive catalogue of fantasy and horror fiction.

Upcoming sequel Borderlands 2, on the other hand, will be penned by games journalist turned Gearbox staff writer "The Reverend" Anthony Burch. Johnny had a chat with him about it at gamescom, if you're interested.
